Ticket holders of the Devour Culinary Classic can expect the dedication to taste, high quality, and innovation they appreciate each year from Arizona's best chefs. All guests in 2018 will also have access to the beautiful Desert Botanical Garden, an ambience guaranteed to make for a outstanding and authentic experience.
We hear rumblings from our VIP chefs of an affair unlike anything we've ever attempted. Alongside the benefits that our VIP loyalists have become accustomed to, guests will be able to get personal with chefs who pride themselves on the cuisine and culture of Arizona, enjoying native foods like Navajo Churro Lamb raised in northern Arizona and cooked on site, a special selection of beverages, and just relax in the beauty of the Desert Botanical Garden.
Join Arizona's pioneering chefs John Sharpe of northern Arizona's The Turquoise Room and Robert McGrath of the iconic Roaring Fork and Renegade Canteen as they bring Arizona's food culture to light. VIP Saturday guests will enjoy Arizona-raised whole Churro Lamb spit-roasted on site and cooked over Alligator Juniper foraged from the forests near Chef John's restaurant in Winslow, Arizona. Seasoned with Arizona wild herbs, pulled off the bone and served over a soup of Ramona Farm's Tepary beans and Ga’visa – stone ground roasted Pima corn in a lamb broth with Native spices. Welcome cocktails and drink service provided throughout the day.
Year after year, chef Ryan Swanson of Kai Restaurant has proven to Devour Culinary Classic loyalists his ability to impress. From taste to service, guests know they will only have the best. In 2018, we've given Chef Swanson more room to elevate his talent. Sunday VIP Lounge ticket holders are sure to be pleased.
New this year, Connoisseur Package and VIP Package ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to attend a duo of curated experiences held during the length of each day of the Devour Culinary Classic. Enjoy the main event or relax with old friends and new in these "pop in and out" pocket areas created just for you.
Heritage Foods Experience
We’ve tasked some of Arizona’s favorite chefs to gather together, root themselves in the desert, and create an all-day experience that allows guests to dig deep into Arizona’s food history. Chef collaborations and event features are unique to each day of the event and take place in the serene Steele Herb Garden.
Guests have their first chance at the flavors and concept of Roland’s, the new adaptive-reuse project from the minds of Chris Bianco, Armando Hernandez, and Nadia Holguin. The historic (1917) Roland's Market building at Van Buren and 15th streets has lived multiple lives, but with this new partnership from the Bianco Group and Tacos Chiwas, Devour Culinary Classic VIP and Connoisseur ticket holders will enjoy exclusive first tastes of a new and yet-to-be-revealed menu.
Using the best of the culinary herbs and offerings that the Steele Herb Garden has to provide, some of Arizona's culinary luminaries have joined forces to showcase Arizona’s agricultural diversity. With spring at its peak, VIP and Connoisseur ticket holders will get a taste alongside chefs Charleen Badman, Aaron Chamberlin, Sacha Levine, Chrysa Robertson, and Jeff Smedstad while sipping on cocktails from Travis Nass and exclusively enjoying the trails and seating within this calming space.

Final lineups and more event features will be announced soon and be unique to each day of the event.
