Zak’s Chocolate is extremely excited for everyone to taste their award-winning chocolates at the Devour Culinary Classic on Sunday March 5th. Celebrating phenomenal American food producers and the farmers who provide their ingredients, the Good Food Awards celebrate authentic, tasty, and responsibly produced food. This year, Arizona's own Zak’s Chocolate received the 2017 Good Food Award for their Cacao Nib Caramel! They are the first ever Arizona winner in the confections category and only the second winner ever from Arizona (AZ Queen Bee won in 2015).
Each year, the Good Food Awards hosts an annual awards ceremony to honor the recipients who push their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability, while enhancing agricultural landscape and building strong communities. After passing the “tastes great” judging, winning entries had to undergo a rigorous vetting process to confirm they met specific standards around agricultural and environmental practices, along with transparency in sourcing. Zak’s Chocolate passed, and are proud to note that their winning entry uses local Danzeisen Dairy cream as a key ingredient in addition to their own bean-to-bar chocolate.
Zak’s Chocolate is a small batch craft chocolate maker and an artisan chocolatier shop located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
